On Saturday March 22nd the contemporary Colombian dance company, El Colegio del Cuerpo (eCdC) presented its project, Tríptico Messiaen, at the Teatro Adolfo Mejía of Cartagena de Indias. Tríptico Messiaen is a homage to the French composer and ornithologist, Olivier Messiaen and is composed of two choreographies developed by Álvaro Restrepo in collaboration with Marie France Delieuvin, founders and directors of eCdC, and a film by Colombian film director, Carlos Osorio.

The production is made up of two of Messiaen’s most celebrated compositions, Quartet for the End of Time (produced by eCdC) and Seven Visions of the Amen. Osorio’s movie is a recreation of the last and was screened previously on March 15th and 19th during the International Film Festival of Cartagena (FICCI).

The piano duo BdBdúo (Spanish musicians, María Jose de Bustos and María Jose Barandiarán) are part of this project and played on Saturday evening.
